Filmmaking provides hands-on, professional training designed to mirror real-world film production. In this course, participants will learn about the role that the creative producer plays in filmmaking.
Directing Film
This course introduces the learner to essential foundation concepts for film directing, guides you through the process of developing your own ideas and points you in the right direction on the journey to make your first film.
Cinematography
In this course, students will be immersed in the art and craft of capturing visually compelling stories. Cinematography is a rigorous, hands-on programme designed to transform you into a skilled Director of Photography.
Film & Video Editing
This course is a primer to get you editing. We cover theory and technical training but above all this course is practical and designed to get you started and equipped with a strong foundation.
Film Producing
Film Producing equips you with the strategic, creative, and logistical skills to bring stories to life. Under the guidance of active industry producers, you’ll master the end-to-end process of film and television production.
Script writing
Scriptwriting is designed for aspiring storytellers to master the art of writing for film, television, and digital media. Under the mentorship of produced screenwriters, you’ll develop your unique voice while learning.
Bespoke Program
we offer customized media training programs designed to meet the unique needs of school groups, film production companies, organizations, and private groups. Our hands-on, industry-led workshops empower participants.
Apprenticeship
This 2-year apprenticeship combines on-set work experience with structured training, preparing you for technical and creative roles in film, TV, advertising, and digital media. You’ll earn while you learn, working with industry.
Programme Overview
This 1-year intensive documentary filmmaking course at SRTV Film Academy is designed for aspiring filmmakers, journalists, and storytellers who want to master traditional, investigative, VR/360°, and experimental documentary filmmaking. Students will develop technical expertise, ethical awareness, and industry-ready skills while producing multiple short films.
By the end of this 1-year program, students will: Produce 4+ short documentaries (traditional, investigative, VR, experimental) Master industry-standard tools (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, VR editing) Develop an investigative mind-set for hard-hitting journalism Learn distribution & monetization strategies for real-world impact.
